Investigators are asking for information regarding a fatal hit and run accident that occurred this morning.
At around 3:28 a.m., an unidentified female was hit and killed on eastbound Interstate 40 east of the Carnuel exit. The vehicle that struck the female left the scene. The vehicle involved should have front-end damage and a broken amber side maker light.
Investigators are looking into why the female was on the interstate. Her identity and age are unknown at this time.
