12 charged in heroin, meth ring

New Mexico State Police announced Friday that authorities have charged 12 people after a four-month investigation into a heroin and methamphetamine ring operating in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Authorities say residents of both cities face a number of state and federal charges linked to the alleged ring after Region III Narcotics Task Force agents seized two pounds of heroin with an estimated value of $40,000, along with 100 grams of methamphetamine.

The individuals charged and/or arrested include: Carlos Valdez age 22 (Santa Fe), Louis Gonzales age 27 (Albuquerque), David Godfrey age 26 (Albuquerque), Gloria Gurule age 45 (Santa Fe), Tadeo Lucero age 22 (Santa Fe), Genevieve Chavez age 26 (Santa Fe), Marcos Martinez age 26 (Santa Fe), Oscar Enriquez age 20 (Santa Fe), Simon Trujillo age 34 (Santa Fe).
