New Mexico State Police are reporting that a body was found in the Rio Grande near Bernardo.
Socorro County Sheriff’s deputies and State Police officers responded to the call near US 60.
The body, which has not been identified, has been taken to the Office of Medical Investigator in Albuquerque for an autopsy to determine cause of death and identification.
The case is being treated as a suspicious death by investigators.
