The state’s unsung heroes get their moment in the spotlight as 2013 Red Cross Real Heroes.
Nominate an individual or group that demonstrated an act of heroism and showed courage, kindness and unselfish character in service to others during 2012.
Categories are: adult and youth good samaritans, medical, firefighter, law enforcement, disaster relief, military, animal rescue, workplace and water safety.
Deadline for nominations is March 15 at redcrossnewmexico.org or 265-8514.
Recipients will be honored at an awards breakfast on May 21 at the University of New Mexico Student Union Building.
