Someone was shot early today after a Santa Fe police officer responded to “an alarm call” near Johnson Lane.
Details provided by the Santa Fe police were few. A press release doesn’t make it clear whether it was an officer or another person who was hurt.

Here is the news release:
“Just before 4:00 am on March 4, 2013 a Santa Fe Police Officer responded to an alarm call in the area of Johnson Lane. The Officer arrived on scene and was involved in a shooting at the location. A male at the scene was immediately treated for injuries from additional officers arriving at the scene. The male was transported to Christus St Vincent’s Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
As in all cases involving Officer involved shootings, New Mexico State Police was contacted and asked to take over the investigation. The Officer has been placed on standard administrative leave. Santa Fe Police Department is conducting an administrative investigation as well as cooperating with NMSP with theirs.
