Police looking for Verizon store robbery suspect

Police are looking for the public’s help in identify a man caught on surveillance during a robbery at a Verizon Wireless store on Jan. 17.

The robbery took place at approximately 10 a.m. at 6001 Winter Haven Road NW. According to police, three males entered the store, with one suspect pulling a gun on an employee. The man proceeded to grab merchandise from a secure case after the employee opened the case for him. The suspects also took merchandise they had removed from display stands in the store. The robbers got away with approximately $2,600 in merchandise according to police.

Anyone recognizing the man in the photo is asked to call Crimestoppers at 843-STOP or 242-COPS.
