Time grows short for ‘Making a Difference’ nominations

Time is running out.

If you know a senior girl in high school who is committed, charitable and dedicated to change in her community and the world, please nominate her for the 2013 Sage Making a Difference award.

The award is sponsored by Sage magazine, Coronado Center, Embassy Suites and La Bella Spa & Salon.

Winners are honored at a spring luncheon featuring a keynote address from Gov. Susana Martinez. Applications must include:

n A nomination letter, about 300 words. The letter can be from a teacher, adviser, relative — someone who can describe how the young woman is making a difference.

n An essay, about 500 words, written by the nominee about what she’s doing to make a difference and why.

Submit applications online at ABQjournal.com/sage by Tuesday. Mailing address is Sage Making a Difference 2013, Albuquerque Journal, P.O. Drawer J, Albuquerque, NM 87103. Questions about how to apply? Call 823-3870.
