Local officials and invited guests celebrated Albuquerque’s newest Target on Tuesday with a 5 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and some sneak-preview shopping.
The 155,000-square-foot elevated Uptown store was then to be opened from 7-10 p.m. Tuesday night to the general public. It will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
It is Target’s fifth Albuquerque location but the first in town to incorporate an elevated design.
The single-level store sits atop a covered, street-level parking lot at the intersection of Louisiana and Indian School NE.
