Find Fido’s Food, Give Him a Bath at New Pet Vet Market

Alert your furry friends: Pet Vet Market has expanded.

The locally-owned pet health food store opened a second location earlier this month. It is located at 3732 Eubank NE, near the Eubank/Comanche intersection.

Customers will find the same dog and cat food brands sold at the store’s Montgomery NE location, including Merrick, Natural Balance, NutriSource and Holistic Select, store manager Joey McDonald said.

The 2,000-square-foot store also boasts three elevated stainless steel bathtubs and three drying tables for do-it-yourself dog washers.

A wash costs $17 for any size pet.

“Everything is a professional set up,” said McDonald, whose parents, Tom and Veronica McDonald own Pet Vet Market. “Anybody off the street can come in and wash their pets with the latest technology that is out there.”

Pet Vet Market started 12 years ago.

Joey McDonald said the business’ expansion is a testament to both the growing number of healthy pet foods out there and to pet owners’ devotion to their four-legged companions.

“I think the industry always does good no matter what the economy is doing,” he said. “People are always wanting to take care of their pets.”

The new Pet Vet Market is open 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.

The phone number is 296-2400.
