McKee Wallwork earns top ADDY Award for Dion’s work

The American Advertising Federation – New Mexico recently presented its 2012–2013 ADDY Awards for advertising creative excellence at the Hyatt Regency Downtown.

McKee Wallwork & Co. captured the Best of Show for the Dion’s “Illustrations for Dion’s Pizza,” while 3 Advertising garnered a Judges Choice Award for the Ultraviolet logo for Ultraviolet Retouching Studio.

Esparza Advertising won a Judges Choice Award for the “Trash Talking Radio Spot for New Mexico Clean and Beautiful,” as did Vaughn Wedeen Kuhn for the “Lynette at the Fair” Social Media Video Campaign for the New Mexico State Fair.

Student Best of Show went to John-Patrick Custodio of the Southwest University of Visual Arts for his animated short, “Bartholomew.”

The Peers Choice Award was won by Victoria Dobbin, student of the Southwest University of Visual Arts for the “Red Robbin ID Update.”

The Client of the Year award was won by Dion’s, a client of McKee Wallwork & Co., and the Advertising Works Award was won by McKee Wallwork & Co. for Dion’s.

The Silver Medal award was won by Ron Salzberg, a former creative director for Rick Johnson and Co. and current instructor at the Southwest University of Visual Arts.

The President’s Award was won by the three broadcast general managers: Michael Burgess, vice president and general manager of KOB 4; Mary Lynn Roper, president and general manager of KOAT 7; and Bill Anderson, president and general manager of KRQE.
