New details on North Star/Double Eagle boundary

In this morning’s paper, I reported that APS is considering changing the attendance boundaries of North Star and Double Eagle elementary schools. Since then, APS has released new details about exactly which area would be shifted from overcrowded North Star to under-enrolled Double Eagle. The area that would shift is bounded by Alameda on the north, Paseo del Norte on the south, Ventura on the west and Eubank on the east. Families who live in that area have been contacted directly by APS with the news.

Click here to see an APS presentation on the North Star situation. Pages 11-13 show attendance boundary maps, to help you visualize the current boundaries and the area that would change.
