New Mexico snowpack in 2013 worse than last year

Last year was a bad water year for New Mexico, but a series of then-and-now photos taken by the Brent Wachter at the Albuquerque National Weather Service office shows how much worse things are this year. For example, here’s the Valles Caldera on March 13, 2012:
