Mumford & Sons set date in Taos

They picked up album of the year at this year’s Grammy Awards. Now Mumford & Sons have set a date to perform in Taos.

The band consists of Marcus Mumford (lead vocals, guitar, drums, mandolin), Ben Lovett (vocals, keyboards, accordion, drums), Winston Marshall (vocals, banjo, guitar, resonator guitar), and Ted Dwane (vocals, string bass, drums, guitar).

The quartet announced the Taos date on its website on Monday. They will perform at Kit Carson Park on June 6.

Opening for the band will be R&B star Michael Kiwanuka and indie band Mystery Jets.

Mumford  & Sons released its sophomore release “Babel” in 2012 and it became one of the best-selling albums of the year.

General admission tickets  are $50 plus applicable service charges. All ages are welcome. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 5  at www.ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 800-745-3000.

The show is a presentation of AEG Live and Taos Solar Music Festival.
