Warning: Video contains language that may be offensive to some viewers.

On Friday, police released the lapel camera video taken by a rookie Albuquerque police officer as he was shot in the lower back during a March 17 theft investigation.

Officer Ignas Danius was released from the hospital a couple days after the shooting.

The man who shot Danius, according to police, 21-year-old Kendall Carroll, was later killed by a State Police sniper March 19 during an hours-long standoff at an Albuquerque apartment complex.
