The 22nd Albuquerque Antiquarian Book Fair will be held from 5-9 p.m. Friday, April 5 and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at the University of New Mexico’s Continuing Education Conference Center, 1634 University NE, just north of Indian School.
Dealers of used, out-of-print and rare materials from across the Western states will participate. They will offer books, maps, photos, prints and other printed collectibles on diverse subjects.

NEW MYSTERY NOVEL: Albuquerque author Patricia Smith Wood will sign her new mystery novel “The Easter Egg Murder” from 1-3 today at Treasure House Books & Gifts, 2012 South Plaza NW in Old Town. The event is free.
POETRY READING: At 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, the poetry group Fresh Ink New Mexico will read from their poems at the Placitas Library. The group has just published a book of poetry, “Fresh Ink New Mexico, 66 Poems from the Route.”
The group includes John Candelaria, Katherine Hauth, Constance Hester, Deanna McMain, Marty O’Malley, John Richardson, Joann Sheets and Betty Temple.

MEET THE AUTHOR: Author Barbara Langner will sign copies of her latest book, “The Detectives Who Loved Shakespeare” and discuss its plot and characters from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at the Menaul Book Exchange, 9409 Menaul NE.
In the book, English teacher Monica Walters, a compulsive reader of mysteries, gets her opportunity to be a super sleuth when a man is murdered at a peace conference.
AT COLLECTED WORKS: Poets Jennifer Elise Foester and Carol Moldaw will be at the Santa Fe bookstore at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 to read the sign their books. Foester is the author of “Leaving Tulsa” and Moldaw wrote “So Late, So Soon: New and Selected Poems.”
At 6 p.m. Thursday, April 4, Judith Nasse and Nita Murphy, authors of “Millicent Rogers: A Life in Full” will present a reading and book signing.

NEW BOOK: Eric D. Meyer, who formerly taught 20th-century philosophy at the University of New Mexico, is the author of “Questioning Martin Heidegger: On Western Metaphysics, Bhuddist Ethics & the Fate of the Sentient Earth” (University Press of America). It is a scholarly analysis of the works of German philosopher Martin Heidegger, but also weighs in on the controversial issue of his complicity in the Nazi holocaust and Jewish Shoah.
AT PAGE ONE: New Mexico writer Stephen Ausherman, author of “60 Hikes within 60 Miles: Albuquerque” will be at Page One at 7 p.m. Friday, April 5 to discuss and sign his poetry chapbook “Creek Bed Blue,” about his childhood growing up on a farm in Pennsylvania and his heart’s response to changes in landscapes and life since then.
Colorado urban fantasy and science fiction writer Carrie Vaughn will be at the bookstore at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 6, to discuss and sign her latest werewolf novel, “Kitty Rocks the House,” about a radio talk show host’s supernatural adventures after she’s bitten by a werewolf in Denver.
