Author, adviser to speak at investors meeting April 11

Investment adviser and author Sheldon Jacobs will be the guest speaker at the New Mexico chapter of the American Association of Individual Investors meeting April 11 at the Clarion Hotel, 7620 Pan American Freeway NE, in Albuquerque.

Jacobs’ presentation, “Investing Without Wall Street,” will focus on using no-load mutual funds to develop a portfolio that provides superior investing returns while controlling risk.

Jacobs, of Paradise Valley, Ariz., is the founder of the popular investment newsletter, The No-Load Mutual Fund Investor. He co-founded the BJ Group, is a member of Bottom Line’s investment advisory panel, and was a founding adviser to Charles Schwab’s financial advisory service board.
