Council authorizes roundabout study

Albuquerque city councilors voted late Monday to call for an updated evaluation of the Rio Grande and Candelaria intersection, leaving undecided for now whether to build a roundabout there.

The measure was adopted on a 6-3 vote, with Isaac Benton, Roxanna Meyers, Dan Lewis, Ken Sanchez, Rey Garduno and Don Harris in support. Opposed were Brad Winter, Michael Cook and Trudy Jones.

My preview of the issue in today’s paper is here.
