BREAKING: Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck on Central and 61st

A 43-year-old suffered a fractured skull and spine after being struck by a car on Central Avenue and 61st Street NW around 8:35 p.m. on Thursday.

The Albuquerque Police Department’s Fatal Team is investigating, and westbound Central is closed at 60th Street in the meantime. The closure will likely last for several hours, police said.
