Young female doctor missing in Juárez

Authorities in Ciudad Juárez are searching for a young doctor who was reported missing Wednesday after she failed to show up at work at a government medical center, the El Paso Times reported.

Maria Evelin Martinez Manriquez, 26, was last seen leaving her home in the Altavista neighborhood en route to her job in the ProNaF area of Juárez, according to the Chihuahua state attorney general’s office.

She was in a gray Mountaineer vehicle with Chihuahua Frontera plates 837 SBL 8, with a Winnie the Pooh on the steering wheel and damage to its rear bumper, authorities said.

Martinez finished her studies at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez last semester, the Times said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chihuahua state prosecutor’s office at 656-629-3300, ext. 56454 or 56455.
