LAS CRUCES (AP) — The Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department says one of its deputies shot and wounded a man Friday morning and that the injured man is now in custody.
The department says the shooting occurred north of Las Cruces and that access to nearby East Picacho Elementary School will be limited for a time.
Further details on circumstances of the shooting aren’t immediately available.
