Former city councilor Michael Cook told police he’d had only one beer, a La Cumbre IPA, before driving home with his fiancee Wednesday night.
But an Albuquerque police officer, after a series of field sobriety tests, arrested Cook on suspicion of drunken driving. Within hours after news of the arrest broke, Cook resigned his seat as District 7 representative. Check out the 13-minute video below taken by the arresting officer’s lapel camera:
