The University of New Mexico football team is preparing for the 2013 season, and kids who are Lobo fans have a chance to see how the team already is working toward getting ready for the fall.

Second-year coach Bob Davie and UNM are hosting the 2013 Lobo Football Youth Experience on April 13 for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade. The event will take place from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Admission is free.

The Youth Experience includes a tour of the football team’s facilities (locker room, weight room, training room, etc.), on-field drills with Lobo coaches and student-athletes and a chance to watch the Lobos practice. Davie will also address the participants after the team practice ends.

  • Please have your parents register at golobos.com.The deadline to register is Thursday.
  • Be sure to wear athletic clothing and sunscreen. Check in at the southwest corner of University Stadium before 12:30.

Come and watch an early Lobo football training session as it looks to get ready for the upcoming season in the fall.
