Registration is under way for the 2013 Quality New Mexico Learning Summit and New Mexico Performance Excellence Awards Ceremony scheduled for April 22-23 at the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque.
Keynote speakers for the event are David Barger, president/CEO, JetBlue and Dr. Terry Holliday, commissioner of Kentucky Department of Education.
The two-day learning summit will feature “best practice” sessions on the “7 Keys to Performance Excellence” by outstanding presenters from across the nation and New Mexico. In addition, a special ceremony will be held at noon on April 23 to honor the 2012 New Mexico Performance Excellence Awards recipients.
They are:
⋄ Zia Award for Performance Excellence – Lovelace Westside Hospital (Albuquerque).
⋄ Roadrunner Recognition: Del Norte Credit Union, Santa Fe/Espanola; Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City; Maroland LLC in Albuquerque; Nor-Lea Hospital District in Lovington.
⋄ Piñon Recognition: Luna Community College in Las Vegas; Moss Adams LLC in Albuquerque; New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division; Quality & Performance Assurance Division, LANL in Los Alamos; Technical Area Five, Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque.

Quality New Mexico also is accepting applications for the 2013 N.M. Performance Excellence Awards. The awards will be unveiled next spring.
Organizations wishing to participate in the awards program must send in an intent-to-apply form by May 10. It can be obtained at www.qualitynewmexico.org. The application is due on July 12.
Also, the organization is accepting applications for the 2013 Board of Examiners through May 10.
Examiners are volunteers who, working in teams, review applications submitted to the New Mexico Performance Excellence Awards program, administered by Quality New Mexico. The awards program recognizes New Mexico business, government, education, health care and nonprofit organizations for their commitment, progress, or achievement in performance excellence. The program is modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, using the same Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence.
