Windy today, then cooler into week

A developing storm system is expected to bring strong winds into the region today followed by cooler temperatures.

Today: Areas of blowing dust after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Windy, with a south wind 5 to 15 mph increasing to 25 to 35 mph. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

Tonight: Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Areas of blowing dust before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Windy, with a southwest wind 25 to 35 mph decreasing to 15 to 25 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 55. Southwest wind around 15 mph.

Tuesday Night: A 10 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. West wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northeast after midnight.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 52. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 32.
