Otero Co. woman accused in stabbing

A 35-year-old Bent woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her 37-year-old boyfriend during a domestic dispute on Sunday, the Otero County Sheriff’s Office told the Alamogordo Daily News.

Jill Little-Youngman was booked into the Otero County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond, charged with one count of third-degree aggravated battery against a household member with great bodily harm, Undersheriff David Hunter told the Daily News.

Hunter said deputies were called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, the paper reported.

“When deputies and medical personnel arrived, they located the man and confirmed an injury consistent with a stab wound to the chest,” Hunter said. “We had to shut down U.S. Highway 70 to airlift the man to University Medical Center in El Paso for treatment of his wound. Medical personnel had assessed the man’s level of injury as severe. The initial investigation indicated Little-Youngman was in a verbal argument with her boyfriend.”
