Wanted sex offender gives himself up

Convicted sex offender Anthony David Sanchez, 50, who has been on the run since last November and placed on the U.S. Marshals’ New Mexico most wanted list in February, turned himself in to authorities this week, the U.S. Marshals said in a news release.

Sanchez was convicted of criminal sexual penetration by force or coercion on May 28, 2008, and was wanted by the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office for failure to register as a sex offender, the marshals service said.
