For the past four years, Art De Vargas and a handful of volunteers — led by Vietnam veteran Art Canales of Santa Fe — have doggedly pursued photos of all 398 New Mexicans who died in Vietnam.

The Tucker family was moving from northern California to Texas over the weekend when the truck and trailer they were traveling in rolled over on I-40 west of Albuquerque early Saturday, resulting in minor injuries. They say the crash scene wasn’t secured by Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies and passers-by stole thousands of dollars worth of their belongings.
