UNM: Alford owes us $1 million

The University of New Mexico to Steve Alford: you, or your new employer, owes us $1 million. In a letter dated Wednesday, sent via certified mail and email, UNM informed Alford it is holding its now-former men’s basketball coach to terms of a buyout clause in a new contract. In a sometimes emotional, sometimes humorous news conference, Craig Neal was officially introduced to Lobo nation Wednesday afternoon at the Pit.
