Layne Rausch, 5, hugs the big, warty pumpkin that he and his family picked from the Galloping Grace Youth Ranch Pumpkin Patch on Wednesday. Layne’s mother, Sarah Rausch of Corrales, said every year her family picks out a warty pumpkin and names it Davy Jones. The pumpkin patch, which is in an Albuquerque parking lot on Irving, west of Coors, has pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, as well as other farm-related activities for children, including a corn pit and a corn maze. Admission is free, and the patch will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. through Oct. 31. All pumpkin patch proceeds benefit the youth ranch. For more information, go to ggyr.org.
