APD sgt. still employed pending Internal Affairs investigation

APD Sgt. Adam Casaus must report to jail by Friday to be photographed and fingerprinted. State District Judge Kenneth Martinez on Tuesday ruled that prosecutors have probable cause to take Casaus to trial on felony charges of vehicular homicide by reckless driving and great bodily injury by vehicle involving reckless driving.

Judge sends APD crash case to trial on vehicular homicide

Judge Martinez has ruled that probable cause exists for prosecutors to take APD Sgt. Adam Casaus to trial.

Chaotic scene after deadly N.M. bus crash

The scene immediately following Monday's school bus crash north of Española that killed the driver and seriously injured two students was chaotic, with no cellphone service and other children flagging down passing cars. Seventh-grader Xavier Varela said the accident occurred without warning.

In a letter dated Wednesday, sent via certified mail and email, UNM informed Alford it is holding its now-former men’s basketball coach to terms of a buyout clause in a new contract.
