          Inauguration events in New Mexico
        Barack Obama will become the nation's new president Tuesday, and New Mexicans across the state will celebrate. Here are some of the local events, all to be held on Inauguration Day:
        The People's Inaugural Celebration — 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., African American Performing Arts Center, Expo New Mexico. Evening attire. This is an event for the whole family. Videos will be shown, and there will be food, traditional dancing and musical performances. Tickets, $10 for adults and $5 for youth. For more information, call 222-0777.
        Celebration at El Rey Theater — 6:45 p.m., 620 Central SW. Music by The Rebbe's Orkestra and Le Chat Lunatique. Projection of the day's events in Washington and live inaugural feed, if available. Formal dress, optional. Suggested donation $10. All money raised over costs will be donated to nonprofits.         Democratic Party of New Mexico Inauguration Viewing Party — 9:30 a.m., International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union hall, 4921 Alexander NE. For more information, call 830-3650.
