Rail Runner Makes First Run to Santa Fe


Governor Aboard Rail Runner's Inaugural Trip to Santa Fe

      SANTA FE — Gov. Bill Richardson will be one of the first riders on the New Mexico Rail Runner Express' inaugural run to Santa Fe today.
    The governor will board the train at the Bernalillo station on U.S. 550. State, local and tribal officials will join him.
    The commuter train service for the public will begin Wednesday to the South Capitol Complex station and the Santa Fe Depot at the railyard north of Paseo de Peralta near the farmer's market.
    The Rail Runner will offer zone-based fares. A roundtrip fare from downtown Albuquerque to downtown Santa Fe will cost $8.
