Bingaman To Visit Navajo Nation Tuesday

Associated Press
WASHINGTON — New Mexico Sen. Jeff Bingaman is scheduled to visit Gallup and the Navajo Nation on Tuesday.
The Democrat is expected to discuss a new law creating the Navajo-Gallup pipeline, a water rights settlement intended to provide future water for the Navajo Nation, Gallup and other New Mexicans who rely on San Juan Basin water.
Bingaman's office said the senator will meet with city and Navajo officials, and will visit the home of residents who are benefiting from the water settlement.
