New Mexico AP Broadcasters Group Presents Awards

      Television and radio stations in Albuquerque, Las Cruces and Santa Fe won station of the year honors as the New Mexico Associated Press Broadcasters presented their annual awards Saturday night in Albuquerque.
    KRQE-TV, Albuquerque, won the award in Division 1 television, while KRWG-TV, Las Cruces, won in Division 2. KUNM-FM, Albuquerque, won in Division 1 radio, and KSFR-FM, Santa Fe, took the award in Division 2.
    Television and radio stations in Albuquerque and El Paso, Texas, competed in Division 1. Division 2 included stations elsewhere in New Mexico. Division 2 stations have the option of competing in Division 1.
    The awards, for news coverage in 2007, were presented during the group's 26th annual convention. Entries were judged by Associated Press broadcast members in Michigan.
    The NMAPB is comprised of radio and television AP members who take the New Mexico broadcast wire.
