Richardson Names New Chief of Staff, Brian Condit

Associated Press
SANTA FE — New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson has named a new chief of staff.
Brian Condit will succeed the current chief of staff, James Jimenez, who is leaving state government at the end of August.
Condit has been with Richardson since the Democratic governor took office in 2003. He has been director of legislative and political affairs for the governor's office and the deputy chief of staff since 2004.
Jimenez also has been with Richardson since his first term. Before he was named chief of staff in 2006, he was secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration.
