Man Arrested in Fatal Clovis Stabbing

Associated Press
CLOVIS — Clovis police have arrested a 19-year-old man in a fatal stabbing in the eastern New Mexico community.
Police said Luciano P. Guerra of Clovis was taken into custody at his lawyer's office several hours after the stabbing of 21-year-old Andrew Gama in the parking lot of a Clovis apartment complex.
Guerra was booked on an open count of murder.
Gama's death was the second homicide of the year in Clovis.
Police said officers were sent to a fight at the apartment complex parking lot.
Police Capt. Patrick Whitney said officers confirmed Gama was involved in the fight.
Officials said Gama had multiple stab wounds to the torso and died early Saturday.
