Woman Arrested in Clovis Stabbing Death

Associated Press
CLOVIS — A 45-year-old woman has been arrested on a murder charge in the stabbing death of her boyfriend in Clovis.
According to an affidavit in magistrate court, the body of 37-year-old Clifford Webber was in Robbin Banister's home for about three days before she asked a friend to help move it to an abandoned home next door.
The friend reported the death to police.
He also told investigators Banister told him June 13 that a man had stabbed someone near her home.
The affidavit says Banister told police a coworker of Webber's stabbed him in the chest with a steak knife at her home during an argument over beer. She says the other man then fled.
The document says the man Banister identified as the killer had an alibi.
