UPDATED: Las Vegas, N.M., Man Gets 12 1/2 Years in Slaying

Associated Press
LAS VEGAS, N.M. — A judge has sentenced a Las Vegas, N.M., man to 12 1/2 years in prison in the slaying of a woman last year.
State District Judge Matthew Sandoval accepted a plea agreement from 50-year-old Natividad Steve Roybal.
The Las Vegas Optic reports Roybal pleaded guilty to charges of second-murder, tampering with evidence and conspiracy to tamper with evidence in the death of 51-year-old Terry Greer.
District Attorney Richard Flores says Greer and Roybal argued on the night of July 31, 2009, and Roybal hit Greer in the head with a large rock.
Greer's body was discovered Aug. 2.
