UPDATED: Albuquerque Police Arrest Ex-Wife After Digging Up Man's Remains

Associated Press
Albuquerque police have arrested a woman in the murder of her ex-husband, whose remains were unearthed this week at a Northeast Heights home.
Detectives believe Ellen C de Baca is responsible for the death of 43-year-old Michael Snyder, who has been missing since 2002. Police Chief Ray Schultz said the remains recovered Thursday have been confirmed as those of Snyder, who was shot.
According to a police report, C de Baca's son told investigators his mother shot his stepfather. Michael Sheffield told police he helped his mother wrap Snyder's body in a tarp and she hired a backhoe operator to bury the remains.
Police began digging through the floor of a garage at the home on Tuesday after receiving a tip. Snyder had once owned the house but the garage had been built by a subsequent owner. The digging operation was shifted to the west of the garage on Thursday and Snyder's remains were found.
C de Baca is being held on $1 million cash-only bond.
