Body Parts Found Near Gallup

Associated Press
The Sheriff's Office in McKinley County has launched an investigation into the separate discoveries of upper and lower body parts near Gallup.
Meanwhile, medical investigators in Albuquerque are trying to determine if the parts are one person or two and the cause of death.
Investigators said that kids playing with a dog north of Gallup on Monday evening found a trash bag containing the upper portion of a body.
Deputies said the unclothed torso showed multiple stab wounds plus cuts to the face.
Thursday morning, three people found a garbage bag with the clothed bottom half of a body.
Deputies said the two discoveries were about 100 yards apart. The lower half carried identification, but the name is not being released.
As of Thursday afternoon, investigators had not determined if the two half bodies were one person or two.
