PNM Says Natural Gas Costs Down From Last January

Here's a bit of good economic news: Public Service Company of New Mexico customers will pay about 19 percent less for their natural gas this month when compared with prices last January.
The utility company says customers will pay 62 cents a therm this January.
The average home heating bill this month will be about $112, based on a 10-year average.
January's natural gas price is up slightly about 4.5 percent <0x2014> from December's price of 59 cents per therm.
PNM provides natural gas service to 492,000 customers in New Mexico.
