Gibson Withdraws From NBA Draft, Will Return to NMSU

Associated Press
LAS CRUCES — Jonathan Gibson has withdrawn his name from the NBA draft and will return for his senior basketball season at New Mexico State.
Gibson, who averaged 14.1 points per game last season as a junior, announced his decision Monday. He currently is in Los Angeles and plans to return to Las Cruces for classes next month.
Gibson said he feels he needs to demonstrate more leadership next season. He also hopes to be more consistent with his shooting.
New Mexico State coach Marvin Menzies calls it "a big plus" to have Gibson returning to the team.
