Hobbs Man Arrested in Slaying of Estranged Wife

Associated Press
HOBBS — Authorities say a Hobbs man has been arrested in connection with the slaying of his estranged wife.
Hobbs police said Patsy Davis hadn't been seen since Thursday evening when she was headed to her estranged husband's home. Her car was later found parked outside a business on a city street.
Detectives went to Eric Davis' home on Friday and said they noticed signs of foul play. They said Davis later admitted to killing Patsy Davis and burying the body outside the city limits.
Police said the body has been found and will be sent to medical examiners in Albuquerque for an autopsy.
Hobbs police said Eric Davis is jailed on suspicion of murder, kidnapping and tampering with evidence. He's being held in the Hobbs City Jail on a $1.5 million bond.
