San Mateo Man's Body Found Near His Home

Associated Press
SAN MATEO — Searchers have found the body of an 88-year-old man on the northwestern flank of Mount Taylor near his San Mateo home.
State Police Lt. Rick Anglada says the discovery of Fernandez Chavez's body on Thursday culminated a search that lasted more than 12 hours.
Authorities found no signs of trauma or foul play. Anglada says Chavez apparently died of natural causes.
Anglada says Chavez was reported missing by his family after he failed to return home from a walk Wednesday.
