Roswell Man Held in Mother's Death

      ROSWELL — A Roswell man has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of his mother.
    Roswell police said that officers arriving on the scene Saturday night found 44-year-old Mary Piedra badly injured from numerous stab wounds.
    She was taken to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, where she died.
    Her 21-year-old son, Christopher Paiz, is charged with an open count of murder and tampering with evidence.
