UPDATED: Gas Pipeline Rupture in Northwest N.M. Is Stopped

Associated Press
FARMINGTON — State Police say a pipeline crew has closed a leak caused when a natural gas pipeline ruptured Wednesday afternoon southeast of Farmington.
State Police Capt. Darren Soland said no one lives in the vicinity, which is an agriculture area on the eastern part of the Navajo Nation.
State Police determined there was no danger to the public and reopened N.M. 371 about nine miles south of the Navajo Agricultural Products Industry facility.
State Police said the four-inch pipeline ruptured while crews were working on it.
