Police Want Help With ID of Bones Found in Northern New Mexico

Associated Press
RED RIVER — State Police are releasing details about a skull and jawbone found near northern New Mexico's Red River fish hatchery in hopes someone can help identify them.
The skull was found near the hatchery in 2006, and the jawbone was found late last month about a half a mile away.
The bones had been in the area about 10 years.
The state Office of the Medical Investigator believes the bones have similarities and could belong to a Caucasian female between 22 and 45 years old.
State Police said the bones show a history of bad nasal and mouth infections and signs of dental work on many cavities. There also was a cavity that had not been filled.
Anyone with information can call the State Police criminal investigations bureau in Taos.
