Man Arrested After Remains Found in Forest

Associated Press
SANTA FE — Two men have been arrested after the discovery of remains believed to be those of a missing Santa Fe man.
Police said Johnny La Bombard, 35, of Albuquerque led them to the remains Friday in the Santa Fe National Forest after he was picked up Thursday night on outstanding warrants. He was being held in the Santa Fe County jail on $1 million bond on an open charge of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping and tampering with evidence.
Police said a second man, Justin Romero, 26, of Santa Fe, turned himself in to police in Barstow, Calif., on Friday. He was charged with an open count of murder and tampering with evidence, they said.
The body is believed to be that of 39-year-old Frank Segura, whose sister reported him missing Wednesday. Segura was last seen at a Santa Fe blues club.
Santa Fe police Capt. Gary Johnson said the body has not been positively identified and he could not say how the man died.
Johnson says La Bombard and Segura were acquaintances, and that there had been "A domestic situation" between the two men and a woman. He would not give her name.
