Dona Ana County Hires Former Sunland Park Mayor

Associated Press
LAS CRUCES — Dona Ana County has hired former Sunland Park Mayor Ruben Segura to manage a division in its Health and Human Services Department.
County spokesman Jess Williams says among Segura's duties will be oversight of a program that ensures drunken driving offenders comply with their sentences.
Williams says Segura was hired May 26 and will be paid more than $51,000 a year.
Segura served as Sunland Park's mayor for more than a decade. He decided unexpectedly to not seek re-election in 2008. His term as mayor ended in March 2008.
