UPDATED: Coroner Says N.M. Woman Found Dead on Waikiki Beach Drowned

Associated Press
HONOLULU — The Honolulu coroner is saying that a New Mexico tourist found dead on a Waikiki beach had drowned.
The city Department of the Medical Examiner said 25-year-old Bryanna Antone died from "asphyxiation due to salt water drowning."
Her body was found Oct. 2 in front of a Waikiki hotel.
A police affidavit said the DNA recovered from the Antone's body matches that of 31-year-old Aaron Susa, a Honolulu man who was seen with the woman the night before her body was found.
Susa was arrested Oct. 5 and charged with second-degree murder.
He pleaded not guilty on Monday to the murder charge and is being held on $500,000 bail.
His DNA is on file at the Hawaii Criminal Justice Information System because he was convicted of drug offenses in 2005.
